"The dawn blooms as we free it, for there is always light if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it." ~ Amanda Gorman, Poet Laureate
I can't begin to imagine the horrible pain the families are feeling at the loss of their children in Texas, the communities in Buffalo, Uvalde or the people of Ukraine. It certainly doesn't end there. So, where does it end? It ends when we put a stop to assault weapons readily available to anyone. I found this discussion between Katie Couric and Robyn Thomas to be eye-opening, and I encourage you to give it a listen. In this interview, Robyn spells out the steps to put an end to these vicious crimes and senseless loss of innocent young lives. Together, may we grieve and embrace the true gift of life as we continue to hold the suffering in our prayers. And may we continue to hold hope – HOPE for a world of peace – HOPE for the next generation – that they will live in a world where their children can go to school without the fear of the next shooting. "My mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother's words, and I'm comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers, so many caring, loving people in this world." ~ Mr. Rogers Please take a moment with me... Place your hands over your heart. Breathe in love and gratitude for the precious gift of life. Exhale out worry, tension and fear. I invite you to sit quietly and take 5 full breaths in and out. When we are able to be fully present, we can be the helpers, the truth seekers and the peacekeepers. The world needs you!!!! Comments are closed.
